Brad Paisley Virtual Reality Tour 2012

On Friday I went to Brad Paisley's Virtual Reality Tour. It was amazing and probably one of the best concerts I have been to. Scotty Mccreery was his first opener and sang seven songs off of his album. He was the winner of American Idol last year. He is only 18 but has a fantastic voice and is extremely cute. I am pretty much in love with him. Next the Band Perry came on stage. They are one of my favorite bands in country music right now. They sang about nine songs off their album.
Brad Paisley started off with a laser show, that continued throughout the concert. For every song he had different animations that he made himself. This included a star wars themed animation when he was introducing his band to us. Between some songs he was his funny old self cracking jokes about certain things he wrote his songs about. “All you Salt Lake City rednecks look so good in camouflage,” said the country star as he opened with “Camouflage,” off his latest album. Before the night was over, in a memorable 22-song set, Paisley would feature the love song “Ticks,” utilize veteran actor Andy Griffith on the giant video screen in a poignant version of “Waiting on a Woman” and pay tribute to a host of country greats from Reba to Johnny Cash in “This Is Country Music.”
He would share the stage with McCreery for a hilarious version of “Celebrity” and The Band Perry for his signature “Whisky Lullaby.”
He gave away a signed guitar to a young girl, danced around the aisles to get close to his fans and sang a song on a second stage to pay tribute to those “in the cheap seats where I sat as a teenager.”
It was hard to know whether to watch the video screen, where all sorts of wild things were happening, listen to the music, enjoy the animated audience dancing in the aisles or watch the laser lights that often played on the arena stage.
He even had a hologram of Carrie Underwood to sing with him for their song "Remind Me." This hologram fooled my friends and I though as we thought that Carrie Underwood was actually at the concert. If only she was, this just goes to show you what you can do with technology. haha
Brad Paisley finished with his song "Alcohol" after doing an encore with his song "Water" and diving into a pool of digitalized water.
It was a fabulous concert and I am so glad that I got to go! Here are some pictures from the event.

The First Post of 2012

Happy New Year!! Crazy that it is 2012!! The past year went by fast! I meant to post yesterday but this new year has already been crazy busy. I went to an awesome new years eve party hosted by my brother and our friend Blake. It was a classy party, so everyone dressed up all fancy like. After ringing in the new year there I slept over at my friend Alexis's house and had a wonderful time. Crepes were the first breakfast that I had for the new year.
This year I plan to study hard, make some lasting memories with friends and family, and continue to stay healthy and keep up on my pescatarian diet.
I wish everyone the best for the New year and hope you can all keep up on your own resolutions.
Happy 2012!! :D

Merry Christmas!

Twas a great Christmas! We celebrated it early first with my sister as right now she is off in Paris. She is a real traveler!
Last night for Christmas Eve we had our Aunt Pooh over (a name we gave her as little kids after Winnie the Pooh) and we opened a few presents with her. Then we had a Bucca di Beppo dinner and watched Christmas movies by the fire.
This morning we had hot chocolate, opened our stockings, and a few more presents. Then we made our annual trip to Park City for the day and walked with our dog Sophie and had our traditional Chinese lunch. We came home relaxed for awhile and then when dad came home we opened the rest of our presents. We had a wonderful Christmas dinner and now we are again relaxing by the fire and watching Christmas shows.
I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas and enjoyed time with their families. Hopefully Santa was nice to everyone and nobody got coal in their stocking! Happy holidays and Happy New Year! :D

Turkey Day!

Happy Thanksgiving!! :D I am so thankful for my family and friends and everybody in my life! This year I am spending Thanksgiving in Los Gatos, CA with my roommate LJ and her family! Los Gatos is the cutest little town outside of San Jose. There is a cute little town square like in Gilmore Girls and there are like a million cute shops and restaurants. Yesterday we went to a Tai restaurant called Tai Spice which was super yummy. Also we went to Icing on the Cake, which is a cute local bakery, and two other really cute shops. We came back to the house and made carmel apples and ordered in dinner from this really good pizza place.
Today to celebrate Thanksgiving we are going to LJ's cousins house for dinner. Where I will meet more of her family! I am excited to eat some good food (LJ's mom was so nice and got me some Salmon since I am pescatarian now) and enjoy everybody's company. It shall be a great Turkey day!
I hope everyone enjoys their thanksgiving!
XOXO

This is Halloween, Halloween, Halloween!

Happy Halloween!!!
I had a great Halloween weekend of going to Westmini's halloween dance and hanging out with some of my best buds at Westminster. It was also very relaxing and I got to see my family and got to Himalayan Kitchen which is like one of the best Indian places in Salt Lake City. Tonight, actual Halloween night, I went to my sister's house and we had cheese fondue and we watched Casper. Old classic Halloween kids movie right there. It was great. While I am not doing anything super exciting like going to a haunted house I have enjoyed this Halloween. Here are some pictures of my friends and I the night of the dance:
