Happy Holidays!

The Holiday Season is upon us! I love this time of year, everything is always so merry and bright! ha ha. Well Thanksgiving has come and gone. It was a pretty good one this year. I stuffed myself full as always and took a few skiing runs with my brother. I actually skied quite a bit over this Thanksgiving despite the lack of snow that we have this year. Where is the snow?? We usually have so much more. I also went to this really good thai place with my sister Thai Lotus it was amazing and such a cute place! Anyways today is my moms birthday, so HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!! Yay! :) Anything you think I should write about, let me know!

I am Really Bad At This

Oh man. I have been so bad at blogging lately. It has just been an extremely busy time. Whoever said that your senior year of high school is relaxing and carefree was wrong. Between IB, College Apps, and many other school related things it has been CRAZY!!! I also need good ideas for some blogs, so like I said in my last post (which no one really read except my new good friend Sara Pickett), I would like some ideas so if you have any let me know! ha ha. okay peace for now.
Song of the Moment:
In the heat of the fight, I walked away
Ignoring words that you were saying, trying to make me
stay
I said this time I've had enough
And you've called a hundred times, but I'm not picking up
'Cause I'm so mad, I might tell you that it's over
But if you look a little closer
I said leave, but all I really want is you
to stand outside my window throwing pebbles
Screaming, "I'm in love with you"
Wait there in the pouring rain, coming back for more
And don't you leave, 'cause I know
All I need is on the other side of the door
Me and my stupid pride, sitting here alone
Going through the photographs, staring at the phone
I keep going back over things we both said
And I remember the slamming door and all the things that I
misread
So baby, if you know everything, tell me why you couldn't
see
When I left, I wanted you to chase after me
I said leave, but all I really want is you
to stand outside my window throwing pebbles
Screaming, "I'm in love with you"
Wait there in the pouring rain, coming back for more
And don't you leave, 'cause I know
All I need is on the other side of the door
And I scream out the window I can't even look at you, I
don't need you
But I do, I do, I do
I'll say there's nothing you can say to make this right again
I mean it, I mean it, what I mean is
I said leave, but all I want is you
To stand ouside my window throwing pebbles
Screaming, "I'm in love with you"
Wait there in the pouring rain, coming back for more
And don't you leave, 'cause I know
All I need is on the other side of the door
With your face and the beautiful eyes
And the conversation with the little white lies
And the faded picture of a beautiful night
You carried me from the car up the stairs
And I broke down crying, was she worth this mess
After everything and that little black dress
After everything, I must confess
I need you

A Major Update

Well. I haven't written a blog in so long! So much has happened since October 8th! Homecoming happened. I didn't get to be on Homecoming Royalty but I had tons of fun being a candidate and meet some nice girls and caught up with some old ones in the process. The Homecoming dance was so much fun and the gym that I decorated with my Key Club looked fabulous! I will have to post some pictures later. Before the dance I ended up playing Ultimate Frisbee with my dance group, which was a blast!! I love Ulitmate Frisbee, I should play it more often. For dinner we went to a place called Epic. ha ha what a name. Anyways the food there was pretty well.... Epic. Then we went to the dance and took pictures and danced the night away! My date's parents also had an Indian Convention at the school so we kept running into his dad, and after the dance his dad gave me some free Indian food, which was delicious! :) Then we went to my dates house and watched Fast and Furious. Good night.

The next day I went and saw Owl City at the Venue! They were awesome and sang all my favorite songs and I got an awesome tee!

Hillcrest had its last football game on Friday. I think we lost.
I took the ACT on Saturday. I hope I did better.
I can't wait till I get the Taylor Swift Fearless Platinum Album in the mail!
I think thats it.
Any Suggestions for future blog posts would be great!
Love Always :)

HomeComing

Homecoming hasn't happened yet but I have been involved with many things for it so far. I am in Key Club at my school and as a club we are in charge of the Homecoming dance. This is fun but kind-of stressful too. We get to decorate, find the DJ, get the posters and tickets made, contact lifetouch for photos, and sell the tickets during lunch. The great thing is that we get free tickets!! :) So the past couple of weeks I have been doing all of that kind-of stuff.
Another Homecoming related thing I have I have been involved in is that I am one of the Homecoming Candidates! I am the cadidate for Key Club. As candidate I have been doing lunch activities such as Obstacle Courses, Karoke, finding gummi worms in flour, trying to pour pixie sticks into a cup holding it by your nose and also getting pixie stick poured all over yourself, and a Hairy leg contest. Yesterday was the Homecoming Candidate Assembly where we all got dressed up and walked down the aisles and stood on the stage as they read bios about us, we also did a candidate dance during the assembly where we danced to a song called Rockstar. I believe. Later at 6:00pm I came to the school for Burning of the H. Where the candidates get to ride around the track in cool cars as they announce our names. I rode in an awesome yellow truck that is my friend Daniel's! It was sick!! After we rode around the track they had the cheer leaders do a bunch of pep rally type cheers, pep band performed, Men's Drill performed which was awesome this year!! I love this so much!!, a bunch of people did Camp Dance, there was a skit, a candle light cermony which is one of my favorite things, and fireworks and Burning of the H!! It was an all around great night with friends just hanging out and seeing what an awesome school Hillcrest is!!
Voting for Homecoming Royalty is Friday!
The Homecoming dance is Saturday and I can't wait!!
On Sunday I am going to Owl City which is going to be way awesome too!! :)
Ta ta for now

Jai Ho!

This has been one epic weekend and week! First of all this weekend I went to Sadie Hawkins with my great friend Tyler, and a bunch of my other really good friends! It was Hollywood themed and we dressed up like movie stars! For the day activity we went mini golfing and I got a way epic hole in one!! For the night activity we watched Hot Rod which is a hilarious movie, if you want a good laugh you should see that movie!!

So Sadies was just awesome! This week I have been planning Homecoming, since I am part of Key Club, and we are now the official club that plans Homecoming. But anyways I have been doing a lot of thinking of what the decorations and all that should be for the dance, and today I got a little surprise! I found out that I am going to be Key Clubs Homecoming Candidate! My friends gave me a little congratulations cake and told me the news! At first I wasn't sure how I felt about being a candidate, but I think it will be pretty fun, no matter what happens! ha ha! :)
I will fill you in more as Homecoming apporaches and what will go down as candidate! :)
Love Always!

Senior Year.

Oh man. So much has happened since I last posted something, it is crazy!
I have been in my Senior year of high school for two weeks now, and it is interesting. Most seniors have the easiest classes so everything seems so easy. Not me. I have 6 IB classes. I do have to say that some of them aren't all that bad and even kinda fun. But a lot of it is just a ton of work and very stressful. I am excited to be a senior but it is just so much different than I imagined it to be.
Anyways enough of me complaining.
Last Saturday I went to U92s Summer Jam, that was an interesting experience. But as always I had fun hanging with my buds.
I asked this one kid to Sadie Hawkins so I will be going to that with a fun group of people!
I turn 18 in 8 days! Wahoo!
Tonight I am going to a Bees Game.
Last night I saw 500 Days of Summer.
I love the song Make You Feel My Love.
My extended essay is due in 6 days.
My high school has one two football games so far which is really good for us.
My brother is at the US Open and I wish I could be there.
And finally, I want to go DANCE.

Concerts of the Summer Season

This summer it was my goal to go to more concerts, and plays and such and I think I did pretty well! Here are a few that I went to:
  • Taylor Swift, this was an amazing concert and I hope to go to more!
  • Kenny Chensney, this was a fun one with my mom I bought a cool t-shirt and went to Rio Tinto for the very first time!
  • Broadway and More, went to this at the Sandy Ampitheater and saw two guys and a girl sing many different broadway songs. They were pretty darn good!
  • ABBA, saw this at the Sandy Ampitheater also obiviously it wasn't the actual ABBA band but they were still way awesome, and wore the ABBA's actual costumes!
  • Suesical the musical, saw this on saturday and it was way cute! My school last year performed this for our musical and I was interested to see how it compared.

Song of the Moment:

You would not believe your eyes

If ten million fireflies Lit up the world as I fell asleep

Cause they'd fill the open air And leave tear drops everywhere

You'd think me rude but I would just stand and Stare

I'd like to make myself believe That planet Earth turns, slowly

It's hard to say that I'd rather stay awake when I'm asleep

Cause everything is never as it seems Cause I'd get a thousand hugs From ten thousand lightning bugs

As they tried to teach my how to dance A foxtrot above my head A sock-hop beneath my bed

The disco ball is just hanging by a thread(Thread, thread...)

I'd like to make myself believeThat planet Earth turns, slowly

It's hard to say that I'd rather stay awake when I'm asleep Cause everything is never as it seems(When I fall asleep)

Leave my door open just a crack(Please take me away from here)

Cause I feel like such an insomniac(Please take me away from here)

Why do I tire of counting sheep?(Please take me away from here)

When I'm far too tired to fall asleep(Ha-ha)

To ten million fireflies I'm weird cause I hate goodbyes I got misty eyes as they said farewell(Said farewell)

But I'll know where several are If my dreams get real bizarre Cause I saved a few and I keep them in a jar(Jar, jar, jar...)

I'd like to make myself believe That planet Earth turns, slowlyIt's hard to say that I'd rather stay awake when I'm asleep Cause everything is never as it seems(When I fall asleep)[x2]

I'd like to make myself believeThat planet Earth turns, slowly

It's hard to say that I'd rather stay awake when I'm asleep Because my dreams are bursting at the seams

Magnificent Michigan

So far I have been in Traverse City Michigan for a week now and it has been wonderful! I still have a week left here and probably many more adventures but I thought I would share a few that have happened so far.

1st we have a motor boat and a pontoon boat and have been out on them many a time. On the motor boat we have been tubbing, water skiing, and wake boarding. I love just taking crusies on the boat too and have enjoyed laying out on the boat and getting a little sun! :)

2nd we went to Mackinac Island which I have been wanting to go to for years. It is such a beautiful island and to get to the island you have to take a ferry which is pretty cool too. There are no cars on the island except for an ambulance and probably some police cars. There are some quaint little shops and many places to eat too. There are places to rent bikes, ride horses, and have carriage rides. Most of us rentecd bikes and road around the island overlooking the water. Two of my cousins and my aunt rode horses all around the island. The island is very busy with many people visting but is aslo very Beautiful!

3rd We have gone shopping to many of the same places we always shop at but it is still fun to go. Leland, Front Street, and Glen Arbor. Later this afternoon I think we are headed to Suttons Bay! Art Festival Time!!

Those are just a few of the many adventures had and to come!

Camping is draining but fun

This whole weekend I spent camping, boy was it fun but at the same time very draining! I did many fun things like hike, fish, drive a boat, drive an ATV, and cook smores! But it was also very very hot and I got a little sun burnt! When I finally came home I was very tired! Here are a few pictures of the weekend!
